The company Maresca complies with a code of ethics and social code within the context and conduct of its activities: following as guiding principles full compliance with the various laws and regulations in a framework of legality, fairness, transparency, confidentiality and, in a perspective of social responsibility, economically sustainable management over time, respect for personal dignity, promotion and enhancement of labour and environmental protection through the proper and responsible use of resources.
In particular all the materials used for the manufacturing of footwear and accessories (PVC, leather, fabrics, metal and plastic components) comply with the R.E.A.C.H. standards, in other words an integrated system of registration established by the European Union with the aim to improve the protection of people’s health and the environment, consisting in the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of all chemicals used.
Moreover, PVC is one of the easiest plastic materials to recycle, from the technical point of view.
The mechanical recycling of PVC is easy and does not cause any substantial impact on the environment.
The processing waste is stored and later crushed into shavings, ready to be reused.
